Growing specialty clinic looking for receptionist/ patient coordinator to join our team! Monday-Friday, no holidays or weekends. Competitive pay and benefits.

Essential Functions

• Greet patients in a polite, prompt, & helpful manner
• Answer telephone, provide appointment information, direct/transfer calls to appropriate departments
• Obtain, verify and update patient demographic information
• Collects monies due for patients visits (i.e. copay, deductible/coinsurance, self-pay)
• Check patients in and out for appointments
• Analyze schedules and organize patient flow
• Maintain clean and orderly waiting and reception area
• Perform insurance benefit verification
• Update all patient profiles
• Report problems or irregularities with patient flow
• Sort and distribute faxes and other patient correspondence
• Collect balances on account or send patient to Billing department for arrangements
• Ensure positive customer service atmosphere is continuously maintained
• Fill in for other staff and cover in case of sickness or vacation

Experience

1 year of experience in a healthcare setting

Medical Reception/Scheduling: 1 year

Electronic Medical Records/Practice Management Software: 1 year

Education

High School Diploma/GED Required
