Primary Function: The Nurse Manager in a collaborative relationship with the Critical Care Nurse Director is responsible for the planning of clinical services to assure efficient and appropriate delivery of care to the units specific patient population. The Critical Care Nurse Manager will adhere to organizational philosophies and assure that quality care is delivered in a cost-effective manner. The Critical Care Nurse Manager will be responsible for the 24-hour delivery of nursing care in the department.
Job Qualifications: Masters degree required or Bachelors degree along with enrollment in a Masters program with job related experience may be considered. RI State Nursing Licensure required as is graduation from an accredited nursing program. BLS required. A minimum of three years of job-related experience required; five years of job-related experience preferred. Certification in administration or related specialty is preferred and required within two years of hire.
