The Driver will be responsible, but is not limited to:
- Safely transport patients/residents to appointments and other recreational activities
- Maintain appropriate documentation for each trip
- Pick up, clean and calibrate equipment as required
- Perform small maintenance on vehicle
- Maintain vehicle mileage/vehicle check log and service schedule
- Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policy
- Report vehicle concerns to Director of Recreation for correction
- Properly exchange Emergency Kits (E-Kits) at facilities
- Maintain return delivery documentation as required
- Ensure communication with supervisors for additional assignments prior to ending the shift
- Able and willing to drive in various weather conditions
- Maintain a clean work environment (i.e. leave the vehicle interior clean)
- Become familiar with all routes and able to efficiently adjust the route for weather conditions and construction
- Participate in continuing education programs
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Wear appropriate attire/uniform furnished
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of driver services experience
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
