Hospice Volunteer

Schedule: PRN | Flexible 

Location: Columbus, Ohio (surrounding area)

Requirements of the Volunteer role:

  • Willing to submit Fingerprints BCI and Background Check

  • Valid Drivers License and Auto insurance Coverage (if personal vehicle is used)

  • Reliable transportation/ public transportation 

  • Understanding and supportive of hospice philosophy

  • Compassionate and empathetic characteristics

About the Hospice Volunteer role: 

  • Provide companionship to patients/families 

  • Provide emotional support to patients/families 

  • Performs household chores for patients/families 

  • Report on patient/family status

  • Assisting office staff with office duties 

  • Maintains confidentiality per Care360 Hospice policies

  • Participate in IDG meetings 

  • Ask about remote volunteering opportunities

  • VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT PAID EMPLOYEES AND DO NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION FOR THEIR TIME

We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospice Volunteers, to provide companionship to our patients, alleviate caregivers in providing moments of respite, engage with bereaved individuals, or support office staff with administrative tasks. 

As a Care360 Hospice Volunteer, your contributions will truly help us to fulfill our mission to provide comprehensive and person-centered care to each and every individual we serve. We are a locally owned hospice agency and have great opportunities to bring creativity into everything we do.
