About the Role:
CareAdvisors is looking for a Community Outreach Associate with a strong background in community engagement or a proven interest in advancing health equity or social justice for underserved and vulnerable communities. In this role, you will support our efforts on the ground and will be an integral part of our community impact strategy. The right candidate will have experience conducting community outreach and wants to serve their communities in an empathetic and culturally competent manner.
Core Functions:

• Conduct in-person outreach at local events and some phone outreach (90% in person events / 10% phone)
• Provide information on local resources, conduct enrollments, or provide educational social care materials
• Provide post-event support as required, which may include following up with participants after the event
• Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
• Complete daily data entry and required paperwork in a timely manner
• Consistently meet goals set by leadership
• Participate in daily, weekly, monthly team meetings
• Other tasks as assigned by leadership

Core Requirements:

• Associate's degree or commensurate professional work experience
• Ideally, 2 years of experience conducting community outreach
• Able to commit to a 40 hour per week work schedule
• Able to accommodate a flexible schedule - some events may occur during the day, evenings, or weekends
• Must have access to a vehicle, proof of insurance and valid driver's license to perform essential job functions
• Basic computer skills and comfortable learning new technologies
• Strong time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual (any language) would be a big plus
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and random drug screenings
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively
