We are looking to add a Sr. Clinical Consultant, Team Lead to join our Employee Benefits team in Dallas, TX. Candidates thrive in our environment when they harness their collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a love of learning.

This role will support working with the management team to contribute to the development and implementation of clinical strategies, policies and practices for employee benefit clients.

Duties:

Clinical Operations Management

  • Responsible for overseeing clinical consulting services regarding the daily operations including:
  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission - specifically, support better client reporting, information flow and management, business process, implementation process and clinical client services.
  • Play a significant role in strategic planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
  • Act as a liaison with specific outside vendors.
  • Oversight of Clinical RFI process to assess programs in market including assistance with summary and analysis of proposals. Negotiate with vendors as needed.

Client Service Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical consulting client services for assigned customers including:
  • Review clinical strategies in place and assess future clinical needs of client, develop/implement growth strategies for each client, which results in increased revenue of existing client base as well as Company revenue.
  • Manage execution of timelines that clearly identify all tasks, task durations, team resources responsible for completing the tasks and milestones needed to complete assigned projects.
  • Draft and deliver client presentations and communications, specific for each client’s employee population.
  • Visit and/or travel to client sites to participate in face-to-face meetings, as required.
  • Actively develop and manage relationships with existing clients and prospective clients through industry conferences, business groups and community activities.

Clinical Consulting Sales Support & Promotion:

  • Assist as requested in the sales and promotion efforts for Holmes Murphy, its partners and affiliates including the following:
  • Presentation development and implementation.
  • Leadership of strategy meetings, both internal and external.
  • Writing articles, blogs and other areas for advancement of the HMA clinical strategy.
  • Participation in video and audio recordings for internal and external audiences.
  • Sales assistance as requested.

Team Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate team by:
  • Ensure right talent is in the right role for the success of the organization, which may include hiring and terminating employees.
  • Coach and counsel team members on areas such as workflow, process and procedure, customer service and client consulting.
  • Prepare and conduct performance feedback that defines future goals and objectives and hold employees accountable.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by supporting career development and advancement for team members.
  • Responsible for timesheet management, including responding to PTO/RTO requests and approving timesheets.
  • Participate in compensation decisions for team members, as applicable.
  • Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings to foster teamwork.
  • Attend team and enterprise meetings, as well as leadership training opportunities offered internally and externally.
  • Coordinate initial and ongoing training with Growth & Development and team members on established processes and procedures.
  • Support and maintain standardized processes to ensure efficient and effective quality service according to established quality guidelines.
  • Provide backup assistance for team members, as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in roles with progressive responsibility and leadership components necessary to lead, coach others and develop a team.
  • Demonstrated ability in providing exceptional service to clients, preferably with experience in clinical and employer benefit focused roles.
  • Demonstrated customer focus with strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, along with ability to adapt communication style to fit the audience.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work, voluntarily extends hours, and/or solicits additional resources when necessary to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Ability to understand and analyze clinical programs and strategies without supervision from others.
  • Capable of exercising discretion, in confidential matters, and using independent judgment.
  • Ability to effectively present in front of client executives and large groups.
  • Knowledgeable of and comply with HMA's Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies.
  • Ability to operate a computer and working knowledge of various software such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, Agency Management System, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (in a healthcare or business context preferred) or equivalent work experience preferred. Further education or certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years’ experience in roles with progressive responsibility and leadership components necessary to lead, coach others and develop a team. Demonstrated ability in providing exceptional service to clients, preferably with experience in clinical and employer benefit focused roles. Knowledge of the healthcare industry required. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
