Career Opportunities is Hiring a Regional Manager for IDD Residential Services Near Mora, MN

Shift Details: Full-time 40 hours/week

Schedule: Monday-Friday – 8:00am-4:00pm

Compensation: $52,000 annual salary

Location: Main Office located in Mora, MN – travel requiredThis position provides leadership for 7 sites in Milaca, Princeton and Foley, MN

About the job:

The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the supervision and daily management of staff and residents residing in the service locations for people with intellectual and development disabilities in a group home setting. This position also includes fulfilling direct support work hours and scheduled on call support, as necessary.

Essentials:

  • Supervises Program Management, Program Lead Staff, and Direct Care Staff of all assigned programs.
  • Awareness of governmental regulations concerning the agency. Displays an awareness of rules and regulations as pertains to job responsibilities. 
  • Demonstrates an understanding of role as a supervisor in the overall structure of VOAMNWI.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with those supervised.
  • Demonstrates an awareness of budgetary restraints as it relates to program and staff issues and adheres to program budgets.
  • Regularly audits program files and other records to ensure compliance with established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participates in On-Call rotation as assigned.
  • Oversees the development and monitoring of resident activities.
  • Regularly monitors assigned facilities to ensure compliance with fire, safety, and health standards as well regulatory compliance at all programs in the region assigned.
  • Ensures client records are maintained according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides support to program management with attendance at meetings as appropriate.
  • Ensures that the annual resident satisfaction survey process is completed and monitored.
  • Maintains regular schedule of program supervision.
  • Regularly reviews documentation and completes necessary follow up regarding employee notes, resident related documentation, and reports.
  • Regularly audits documentation of medications, assessments, and care plans for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Assures program participant privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPPA privacy and security regulation.
  • Communicates professionally with supervisor and those being supervised.
  • Acts as liaison with referral sources related to programming and behavioral supports.
  • Completes agency documentation and forms reliably and accurately following established timelines.
  • Involved in the development of program plans.
  • Communicates program concerns, complications and needed improvements.
  • Verifies/approves program management payroll records.
  • Uses professional and objective standards in dealing with conflicts.
  • Provides crisis intervention and on-call assistance as needed.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be 21 or older
  • Must have a valid driver's license, and good driving record
  • The Regional Manager must minimally meet one of the following: 
    • a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
    • an associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
    • a diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children; or
    • a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses above. 
  • Three years managerial experience in a program that provides care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
