The Business Office Manager at [Skilled Nursing Facility Name] oversees the financial and administrative operations of the facility. This position ensures efficient business practices, compliance with financial regulations, and support for the overall management team in achieving the facility’s goals.Key Responsibilities:**Financial Management:**- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.- Prepare and manage the facility’s budget in collaboration with the Administrator.- Ensure timely and accurate billing and collections, including private pay, Medicare, and Medicaid.- Monitor cash flow and financial performance against budget projections.- Conduct monthly financial closing processes and generate financial reports.**Administrative Functions:**- Maintain accurate and confidential financial and resident records.- Supervise and train business office staff, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.- Implement and monitor policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.- Coordinate with various departments to support administrative and operational needs.- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly related to healthcare billing and reimbursement.**Customer Service:**- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and families regarding billing inquiries.- Assist residents and families with understanding their financial obligations and available resources.- Address and resolve any concerns or issues related to billing and financial matters promptly.**Human Resources Support:**- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee time records.- Support human resources functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, and employee record maintenance.- Facilitate communication between the business office and other departments to ensure seamless HR operations.**Compliance and Reporting:**- Maintain current knowledge of regulations affecting the skilled nursing industry.- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payer requirements.- Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory bodies as required.**Qualifications:****Education:**- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.**Experience:**- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in business office management, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility.- Experience with Medicare and Medicaid billing processes is highly desirable.**Skills:**- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.Equal Opportunity Employer
