**Job Summary:**The Regional Business Office Manager (BOM) is responsible for managing and coordinating the business office functions of multiple skilled nursing facilities within a designated region. This role includes overseeing billing, collections, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. The Regional BOM ensures that all facilities operate efficiently and effectively in financial matters, supporting the overall mission to provide high-quality care to residents.**Key Responsibilities:**1. **Financial Management and Reporting:** - Oversee the financial operations of multiple skilled nursing facilities, ensuring accurate billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes. - Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to facility administrators and the Regional Director of Operations. - Prepare and review financial reports, including month-end close, for each facility and the region as a whole. - Collaborate with facility staff to develop and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.2. **Compliance and Audit:** - Ensure all business office activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid requirements. - Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and prompt resolution of any discrepancies. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in healthcare regulations and reimbursement policies.3. **Team Leadership and Development:** - Provide leadership, training, and support to Business Office Managers and staff at each facility, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. - Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and identify professional development opportunities for business office personnel. - Facilitate regular regional meetings to discuss best practices, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.4. **Billing and Collections:** - Ensure timely and accurate billing for all payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and private pay. - Monitor and manage accounts receivable, focusing on reducing days in accounts receivable (AR) and minimizing bad debt. - Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of billing and collection processes across all facilities.5. **Resident and Family Relations:** - Work closely with facility staff to address resident and family concerns related to billing and financial matters, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. - Oversee the admissions process from a financial perspective, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and accurate.6. **Operational Support:** - Collaborate with other regional leaders to ensure alignment between financial operations and overall facility operations. - Assist in the development and implementation of regional policies and procedures related to business office functions.**Qualifications:**- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business office management within the healthcare industry, preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing processes and regulations.- Experience managing multiple facilities or locations is highly preferred.- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to travel within the designated region.- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare-related software systems.**Skills and Competencies:**- Strong leadership and team-building skills.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all business operations.Equal Opportunity Employer
