Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Speech Language Pathologist gathers background data, reviews referrals, selects and modifies evaluation tools, and evaluates patients determining the level of patient’s physical and psychosocial functioning.
• The Speech Language Pathologist reevaluate patient’s progress during treatment at appropriate intervals recommend, acquire, and modify necessary adaptive equipment to augment patient’s independent
• Educate patients and/or families about proper safe use and recommend methods for installation of adaptive equipment.
• Provide periodic progress records and report to assigned patient accounting to current policies and procedures.
• Evaluating outcomes. Planning Discharge.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. Possesses a master’s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP), and who meets either of the following requirements:

A. Is licensed as a speech language pathologist by the State in which the individual furnishes such service; or

B. If the State does not license speech-language pathologists:

1. Must successfully completed 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or is in the process of accumulating such supervised clinical experience);
2. Performed not less than 9 months of supervised full-time SLP services after obtaining a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP or a related field; and
3. Successfully completed an approved national examination in SLP

2. A minimum of one year's clinical experience in Speech–Language Pathology.

3. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.

4. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.

5. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured
