This position is expected to be 60% onsite with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule 40% of the time. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. As the Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the project that serves Pierce County operating Title l funding through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) within the WorkSource system partnership. In this role the Executive Director will apply working knowledge in Workforce Development protocols, which include a basic understanding of the field, core programs and service delivery strategy. As a leader and member of the Corporate Management Team, the Executive Director is accountable for ensuring quality and integrity across all workforce functions.

Your Impact on Career TEAM's Success:
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, including the adherence to policies and procedures and program monitoring for all contracts
  • Heavy intention on expenditure rates for operational and program participant expenses are on track without disallowed costs, supporting contract metrics and performance
  • Oversee leadership functions and program services delivery for the State Street Team, Joint Base Lewis- McChord, Community Team, Young Adult Team and the Quality Assurance Team
  • Providing leadership support to the full team including program managers, team leads and coordinators,
  • Coaching front-line staff, and creating service delivery plans for projects in alignment of the local Workforce Development Council (Workforce Central)
  • Coordinate the planning and implementation of policies and procedures for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary local contact and contract liaison between Career TEAM and Workforce Central and other fund source partners
  • Lead high-functioning employees to execute the program initiatives while supporting employee growth opportunities within the organization and local project
  • Partner with local Workforce Development Board and partners to support growth and community awareness of WIOA and partner services;
  • Responsible for daily programmatic operations, providing clear instructions and creating space for innovation and creativity within the team;
  • Install and maintain the Career TEAM culture of the local project
  • Leading teams recruitment strategies in partnership with Career TEAM human resource department
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions and annual performance evaluations of the team
  • Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset
  • Other duties and projects as needed
The Ideal Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in operational leadership and management
  • 3 years of demonstrated ability working in a dynamic team environment with an aptitude for communication, interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with others, show courteousness, and having a high level of professionalism
  • 2 years of experience with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead a team with different working styles.
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality, handling personnel matters effectively, and handling employee and personnel inquiries with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy
  • Sharp attention to detail with exceptional organizational, analytical, research, and critical thinking skills, including the ability to perform and complete a high volume of work assignments with speed and accuracy
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A Valid Driver's License
Salary: $100,000-$115,000. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Travel: Position may require local travel up to 10% of the time
