They arecurrently seeking a Heavy Duty Diesel Shop Lead / Supervisor to jointheir team. This role offers an opportunity to work with adedicated team and contribute to the efficient operation of theshop.
Diesel Shop Supervisor JobResponsibilities
- Oversee andcoordinate the daily operations of the diesel shop ensuringefficient workflow and timely completion oftasks
- Provide leadership and guidance to a teamof diesel mechanics and technicians fostering a positive andproductive work environment
- Perform repairs maintenance andpreventative services on diesel engines ensuring highqualityworkmanship and adherence to safetystandards
- Manage inventory and order necessaryparts and supplies to support shopoperations
- Maintain accurate records of repairsservices and inventory utilizing computer applications asneeded
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent withadditional technical or vocational training in diesel mechanicspreferred
- Proven experience as a dieselmechanic or technician demonstrating a strong understanding ofdiesel engines and related systems
- Proficiencyin diesel engine diagnostics repair techniques and maintenanceprocedures
- Prior supervisory or leadershipexperience in a similar role would beadvantageous
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to prioritize taskseffectively
- Excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills for effective collaboration with team memberscustomers and vendors
- Attention to detailproblemsolving abilities and a commitment to delivering qualitywork
- Proficiency in computer applications forrecordkeeping and communication purposes
- Cleandriving record with a CDL endorsement being aplus
