CWNY borrows elements from the Swiss system, which is widely regarded as the gold standard in apprenticeship and ensures benefit to both students and businesses while serving as an intermediary between the complex systems of education and industry. Who We're Looking For:The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in project management as well as impeccable relational and interpersonal skills to quickly build trust with all employer partners. This role is responsible for helping our clients effectively implement our youth apprenticeship program through excellent, responsive, and innovative client support. It also requires an individual that is a self-starter, who loves to solve challenging problems, and is comfortable working directly with clients.
Job Summary:Reporting to the Senior Director of Onboarding & Integration, The Program Manager, Apprenticeship Integration role will support our Enterprise Employers (EE’s) during a fixed period so they can more efficiently and effectively launch and manage the CWNY youth apprenticeship program. Under the direction of the senior director, the program integration manager will work closely with our client success managers (CSMs) and other internal stakeholders to support Enterprise Employer supervisors and ensure that they have a firm understanding of their roles and responsibilities within the program and are set up for success with their apprentices. Additionally, this role will work to understand the unique workplace needs and challenges of their portfolio of employers and provide the support necessary to enable them to deliver a high-quality work-based learning experience for apprentices.
This is a full-time exempt position
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Under supervision of senior director, works closely with onboarding manager, education, and employer partnership teams on the launch and implementation of new youth apprenticeship programs
  • Work closely with employer partnership team to develop deep understanding of the operating environment of the employer and translate those needs into a customized program integration and implementation plan
  • Influence without formal authority; gain buy-in and follow-through for successful program execution
  • Support onboarding of supervisors, evaluate their effectiveness and provide solution to ensure they are providing a high level of rigor for apprentices
  • Manage communications with all stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that apprenticeship information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored, and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets internal and external stakeholder needs.
  • Work with supervisors to ensure clear understanding of the value of youth apprenticeship and best practices for supervising and supporting apprentices
  • Create and manage project plans; drive closure on issues and gaps while maintaining focus on continuous improvement
  • Provide suggestions, support, and resources for selecting, training, and supporting supervisors
  • Assist with the onboarding of supervisors and apprentices into the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP)
  • Analyze data and utilize CWNY tools to monitor implementation progress
  • Prepare supervisors to welcome and onboard new apprentices
  • Prepare custom on-the-job training plans for supervisors, customized to employer needs, ensure supervisors have a deep understanding of CWNY tools and resources for supporting and tracking apprentice progress
  • Work with employer and director of credentialing to map out related instruction for new occupations
  • Ensure all learnings are documented and communicated to senior director for continuous improvement
  • Unwavering commitment to service and social justice; willing to engage with and support colleagues and partners in addressing systemic barriers to youth success; personal commitment to young people growing up in low-income and marginalized communities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Key qualifications and experience to be successful in this role:
  • 3 years of workforce development, HR management, HRBP, or training & development preferred
  • Experience managing a team or individuals preferred
  • Self-motivated/self-starter with excellent work ethic
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and effectively collaborate with diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, comfortable working at client site
  • Experience working with youth, particularly high school students is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to quickly synthesize complex ideas, align them with business priorities and devise actionable plan to accomplish goals
  • Ability to travel locally to client sites
  • Strong presentation skills and strong written skills
  • Demonstrated appetite to engage with DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work and conversations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Salesforce; project management certifications a plus

Location:CareerWise is a hybrid workplace. This position will be based out of our New York office with three days per week in office.
Compensation:The starting salary range for this role is: $70,000 - $90,000 annually; this role is not covered by the minimum wage and overtime provisions of the FLSA.
