MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 55 years or older in age
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2-year transportation experience preferred
• Valid AR driver’s license
• Driving record acceptable to insurance carrier
• Pass a background check
• Ability to maneuver and secure wheelchair passengers weighing up to 275 lbs. up wheelchair ramps and loading/unloading into vehicle with lifts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Knowledge of traffic laws
• Knowledge of metropolitan geography
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance
• Ability to use GPS and read a map
• Ability to operate a computer tablet, read, and write
• Ability to exercise professionalism and patience with others

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides door to door service loading passengers on/off vehicles
• Runs scheduled route for pick-up and/or delivery
• Keeps vehicle interior/exterior clean, equipment is properly secured or stowed
• Ensures vehicle is refueled if less than 3/4 tank minimum
• Contacts dispatcher of unusual situation regarding client
• Obeys all traffic laws
• Uses most direct route to minimize time and distance traveled
• Log trip and vehicle information: status, times, and signature as required
• Complete health screening questionnaire
• Conducts/documents daily vehicle safety inspections
• Reports/documents vehicle maintenance issues to dispatch/supervisor immediately

Hours: 9am-1pm Monday-Friday *Hours may vary

Pay: $11.00 per hour
