CarePoint Health is a medical services organization that provides management services to multiple physician specialty practices in several states. The Office of General Counsel advises and represents CarePoint Health, LLC and its related and affiliated multi-specialty physician practice groups it manages in each state where we provide medical services. In addition, the Office of General Counsel works with the operations teams daily and advises and represents the Board of Directors and Boards of Managers on all legal matters affecting each entity.

The Associate General Counsel will report to the Vice President and General Counsel and will work on a wide variety of matters reflecting the complex and diverse operations of CarePoint Health, LLC and its managed and affiliated entities. This position is expected to work a hybrid schedule, working remotely and from the group’s primary headquarters in Greenwood Village, Colorado one to three days per week.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in healthcare law. Will consider other relevant experiences, as determined by CarePoint Health, such as corporate and business law, risk management, managed care/insurance, etc.
  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensure in good standing in the Colorado State Bar. Willingness to obtain licensure in other states, as requested.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in providing legal advice and counsel to stakeholders, executive/senior leaders, and healthcare clinicians with a deep understanding of healthcare law.
  • Proven ability to provide thoughtful partnership and leadership in developing innovative legal and risk management strategies.
  • Develops plans based on a thorough analysis of issues and trends and aligned with CarePoint Health’s strategy. Utilizes fact-based analysis and strategic thinking of all input to discussions and decision-making. Ensures team goals and activities are aligned with CarePoint Health’s strategic goals.

Salary Range

$160,000 - $210,000
