Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse with a specialization in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) nursing, your role is pivotal in delivering high-quality care to medical-surgical patients. You will:
* Assess, plan, and provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Med Surg unit, addressing a variety of medical conditions and surgical procedures.
* Administer medications and treatments, closely following healthcare provider's orders and monitoring patient responses.
* Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, maintaining accurate records and detailed documentation.
* Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care.
* Educate patients and their families, offering guidance and support throughout their recovery.
* Adhere to rigorous healthcare and safety standards specific to Med Surg nursing.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* An active and unrestricted RN license in the state of South Carolina, or Compact State license.
* At minimum, current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications (Certification requirements vary by location).
* At least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, actively within the last 12 months.
* At least 2 years of specialized experience and expertise in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) nursing.
* Strong clinical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to various patient needs.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to excel in the fast-paced and dynamic Med Surg environment.
* Travel experience, and/or willingness to travel.
