CareSTL Health is Hiring an Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) Near St. Louis, MO


CareSTL Health is looking for an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist OB-GYN who is passionate about caring for women and treating their medical needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/ GYN) may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons.

  • Provides appropriate clinical care including but not limited to: the family planning and gynecological needs of the health center patients, appropriate hospital care related to the specific gynecological and/or surgical needs of health center patients, provides afterhours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis as appropriate.
  • Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program and assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan based on Evidence-Based Medicine and Value-Based Care.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) for documentation, completes and signs encounter note(s) within 24-48 hours, orders lab test(s), and radiology tests, and reviews all the tasks assigned to them in a timely fashion per organization policies.
  • Maintains all required medical licenses, certifications, and credentialing as required.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement and practice protocols.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:

  • MD / DO from an accredited university.
  • Completed ACGME Accredited Residency Training in OBG.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified as an OBG Physician licensed to practice in the state of Missouri.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective clinical and communication

Transportation Requirement:

  • Must have reliable transportation

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • None

Additional Eligibility Qualifications (licenses, programs, certificates, pre-employment check and post annual screening(s)

  • Copy of Board Certification as an OB/Gyn Physician licensed to practice in the state of Missouri
  • Current registration with the Missouri Family Care Safety
  • Must maintain hospital-admitting privileges at appropriate hospitals.
  • Must meet criteria for Meaningful Use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Annual PPD or chest x-ray

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates)

  • Board Certification as an OB/GYN licensed to practice in the State of Missouri

Additional Information:

  • Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • 11 paid holidays per year.
