The Position:
The Facilities and Equipment Assistant plays a key part in supporting our National Facilities & Equipment Manager. Together, they field various requests, including repairs, maintenance, and new equipment. This integral member of the team will assist in coordinating repairs and/or replacements for various equipment, coordinate training on said equipment as needed, and support with general facility maintenance.
Specific Responsibilities:
Manage, track, and oversee routine quarterly and annual maintenance for all our facilities (includes HVAC maintenance, seasonal facility maintenance, etc.).
Manage, track, and oversee routine governmental compliance for all our facilities (includes fire inspections, backflow preventors, etc.).
Act as point of contact with Field Team & Hospital Managers regarding routine maintenance issues.
Manage and track open invoices while working with the accounting department to ensure timely processing.
Manage, track, and oversee renewals of extended warranty and/or service contracts for medical equipment (includes x-rays, lasers, ultrasounds).
Monitor Zendesk ticketing system to ensure timely responses to requests for Facility & Medical Equipment maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (inclusive of Excel).
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Facilities Management, Medical Equipment, or general construction/trade experience highly preferred.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Background in veterinary industry is highly preferred.
Customer service experience required.
Ability to manage time effectively and independently.
