Palmer Lake Veterinary Clinic has an exciting, one-of-a-kind opportunity for a Veterinarian like you. About The PositionWe are seeking relief and part time Veterinarians to grow our Urgent Care team at Palmer Lake Veterinary Clinic. The incoming Veterinarian will get to create their own schedule, will only see non-life-threatening cases and our urgent care shifts start at just 6 hours in length! You will have the opportunity to grow into a fulltime role as you grow the urgent care side of the practice. We offer shifts with no overnights to ensure a true work/life balance and a premium salary.
About The HospitalPalmer Lake Veterinary Clinic, a CareVet partner and booming practice in Palmer Lake, CO is now offering urgent care services! Located in one of the premier communities in Colorado, this hospital is a well-established, well-equipped full-service small animal practice with in-house CBC and chemistry analyzers, full body and dental digital radiography, radiosurgery, therapeutic laser therapy, and ultrasound.
CareVet Offers You
  • Premium pay relief ranges from $145 to $170 an hour with bonus opportunities and no upfront non-compete.
  • For a dedicated full time salary, we offer $145k-$175k.
  • $10k bonus offered if able to give 3 week days a week for 3 months.

Responsibilities
  • Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
  • Treat and dress wounds
  • Perform surgery on animals
  • Test for and vaccinate against diseases
  • Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
  • Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
  • Prescribe medication
  • Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
  • Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
  • Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
  • Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
  • Strong fondness and understanding of animals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of animal behavior
  • Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
