We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team at our animal hospital in Belton, MO. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in the exam room and surgery
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Assist with radiographs and ultrasounds
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited veterinary technician program or equivalent experience as a veterinary assistant
- Current certification or licensure as a veterinary technician in the state of Missouri
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
