Responsibilities:

• The Hospice Administrator will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of Careview Hospice in compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards and reports to the Executive Director.
• Coordinate clinical care team
• Must have taken Administrator Training that Meets the Texas HHSC requirement for Hospice and Home Health Administrators
• Ensure Careview Hospice compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and that all documentation and reporting is accurate and complete. Maintain up-to-date and ongoing knowledge of all relevant regulations and ensure all staff members are trained on these regulations.
• Hire and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other staff members and ensure staff receive ongoing training and development to improve their skills and knowledge.
• Ensure the hospice provides high-quality care to patients and their families. This includes overseeing patient care plans, monitoring patient outcomes, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage hospice use of electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring that all input documentation is accurate and complete, and that the system is secure and HIPAA compliant.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians, hospitals, case managers and other healthcare facilities, to ensure seamless transitions of care for patients.
• Maintain adherence to financial controls and accounting policies and procedures, oversee assets and expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner to implement the organization’s long-term goals.
• Serve as a liaison between the hospice and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and healthcare providers build and maintain relationships to strengthen the role of the organization in the community.

Key Qualifications:

• Hospice Administrator Certification required
• Registered Nurse License Required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as hospice administrator with hospice background required.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing hospice care.
