Join an incredible and supportive team in a meaningful and impactful role as a Mental Health Therapist at a brand new OP/IOP/PHP outpatient treatment center on a mission to bring adolescent anxiety, depression, and suicide rates to an all-time low.
The Mental Health Therapist is someone with a heart for making waves of positive change in families. Join a crew that values empathy, trust, service, growth, and creating lasting results. This role offers the unique opportunity to help provide proprietary treatment approaches in a premier facility, within a network of 15 states, providing comprehensive care for adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse and other mental health issues.
This position will be located onsite at the Walnut Creek, CA Outpatient Treatment Center. Base compensation for the position is anticipated to be approximately $90,000 for Licensed therapists and $80,000 for Associate (non-licensed) therapists along with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
This position has an anticipated schedule of 11am - 7pm two days per week, with the typical schedule being 8:30am - 5pm on other days.What You'll Do:The Mental Health Therapist is a highly interactive position and is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children, teens, and families. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to:
- Exercise Evidence-Based Practices: Emphasize your knowledge and experience with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions.
- Take a Client-Centered Approach: Stress your commitment to providing client-centered care, tailoring therapy to meet individual needs.
- Drive the Therapeutic Process: Conduct Family, Group, and Individual Therapy sessions with a focus on driving therapeutic progress.
- Exhibit Cultural Competence: Highlighting the ability to work with a diverse population and understanding cultural nuances is crucial, especially in a diverse area like Ashburn.
- Provide Collaborative Care: Express a willingness to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychiatrists, and other specialists.
- Effectively manage case assignments, ensuring a manageable caseload to facilitate the establishment of strong client rapport.
- Maintain compliance with treatment standards through meticulous documentation of notes and adherence to MTP (Master Treatment Plan) standard requirements.
- Contribute to the achievement of program goals by implementing and meeting outcomes testing and standards.
- Oversee the fulfillment of program completion and discharge requirements for all students.
- Develop comprehensive discharge plans for students, ensuring thorough review with both students and their family members.
- Seize the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with adolescents and their families, bringing joy to their lives and contributing to generational healing.
- Masters Degree in Behavioral Sciences, including Social Work (MSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Clinical Licensure in the State of California. Associate level clinicians will be considered, but must be in close proximity to licensure. (AMFT, ASW, APC.)
- Preferred: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor.
- Preferred: Experience in an outpatient (IOP/PHP) setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
- Preferred: Two years of working experience as a licensed therapist leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
- Preferred: One year of experience using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
- A genuine passion for counseling teens and young adults.
- Strong clinical skills and a steadfast commitment to evidence-based practices.
- Proficiency in incorporating clinical diagnostic and assessment instruments to monitor client progress and treatment outcomes.
