Responsibilities-

Record Keeping

Scheduling Maintenace

Parts pricing and ordering

Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment (trucks, trailers, construction, farm)

Be able to repair and replace damaged or worn parts

Test mechanic products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufactures' specifications

Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects

Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings

Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools

Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency

Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace sub-assembles, such as transmissions, engines, differentials using hand tools, jacks and forklifts

Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems

Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems

Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems

Weld or solder broken parts and structural members using gas or electric welders and soldering tools

Able to clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on equipment or vehicles
