Role Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for supporting high impact HR strategies that support a high performing and agile culture, and company/client-specific business objectives. The HRBP will provide dedicated support to managers and employees.

The HRBP will address Human Resources needs for internal customers by providing services that include hiring, onboarding, pay administration, training and development, employee relations, policy administration, restructures, off boarding and implementation of key human resources initiatives that support the needs of the business.

In addition, the HRBP will support goals related to employee safety and security, wellness, diversity, teamwork and collaboration, productivity, community relations and brand awareness.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnering and Business Alignment

  • Collaborate with department leaders to integrate HR strategies with business objectives, emphasizing the support of long-term organizational goals.
  • Guide and support organizational change initiatives to support business transformation and growth.
  • Support HR initiatives related to key components of HR strategy such as top employer, top team, top performance, diversity, and wellness. Coordinate with others on company initiatives to promote diversity, community involvement, and brand awareness.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Talent Management and Acquisition

  • Work collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure positions are filled with qualified and diverse candidates in a timely manner. Ensure effective onboarding of new hires.
  • Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Support organization structure changes, workforce planning efforts, and headcount compliance.
  • Identify and address training and development needs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Develop succession plans to ensure leadership continuity and mitigate talent risks.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives and programs. Promote efforts to measure employee satisfaction within supported client groups. Facilitate action planning to improve employee engagement. Identify issues and/or trends and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner. Guide, coach, and participate with managers to handle performance, policy, disciplinary, and other complex issues with employees. Monitor performance improvement plans, collaborate with Legal Counsel on investigations and terminations, and protect the interests of employees and the company.
  • Support HR team in responding to employees on HR processes, policies, benefits, payroll, and leaves of absence. Leverage HPO as appropriate. Encourage and educate employees to use self-service resources available to them.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Design compensation offers. Collaborate with Compensation on job evaluations, market/equity analyses, and pay adjustments needed to reward and retain talent. Process pay changes and adjustments for employees.
  • Provide planning and support to clients as it relates to annual merit pay and bonus programs.
  • Provide back-up support for workers' compensation, disability, leaves of absence, and FMLA processes.

HR Operations and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate employee data and organization charts.
  • Manage the employee separation process for assigned client groups.
  • Create and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and alignment with business needs.
  • Ensure the organization complies with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate HR-related risks to protect the organization and its employees.

Collaboration and Relationship Management

  • Partner with the Global Mobility team to support employees needing immigration assistance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Required Specialized Skills:

  • Knowledge of all functional areas of Human Resources
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills
  • Thorough understanding of Federal and State employment and labor laws
  • Promote the value of diversity and support the advancement of women and minorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)

Desired Skills:

  • PHR or SPHR Certified Human Resources Professional Designation
  • Experience with ADP WFN HCM System
  • Knowledge of the Tech industry
  • Familiarity with global HR policies, processes, and programs

Workplace Flexibility:

  • Position requires flexibility to address the dynamic and changing needs of the organization.
  • Travel to office or remote locations is required to participate in meetings, workshops, and to address employee relations issues. Total combined travel of approximately 10%
  • Standard work schedule with overtime expected to meet business demands

Years of Relevant Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources field as a consultant, generalist, or specialist

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business, or related field of study or equivalent

Desired Education:

  • Master's degree in HR Management, Business, or related field of study or equivalent

Compensation

Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, credentials or certifications, industry-based experience, qualification and training. In the city of Mountain View, California, the salary range for this position is $126,000 - 160,000.
