CARIAD is Hiring a Recruiting Manager Near Mountain View, CA

Role Summary:

As a High-Tech Automotive Recruiter and Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and attracting top talent, both permanent and contract, for our cutting-edge automotive software and hardware teams. You’ll be accountable for developing and implementing high impact recruiting strategies, manage the recruitment team and collaborate closely with hiring managers, HR professionals, and candidates to ensure a seamless recruitment process for the best talent. Your mission? To build a dynamic. diverse and sustainable workforce that drives innovation and excellence for CARIAD and the Volkswagen Group, leverage modern high tech recruiting practices.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and coach the recruiting team to achieve hiring goals.
  • Craft accurate and compelling job descriptions that highlight the unique aspects of each technical role.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define position requirements, including technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates’ technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and cultural alignment.
  • Coordinate technical assessments, coding challenges, and other relevant evaluations.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics and trends (e.g. time-to-hire and cost-per-hire) for continuous improvement
  • Present quarterly recruiting dashboard to CARIAD leadership
  • Implement new sourcing methods (e.g., social recruiting and Boolean searches)
  • Review recruitment software and suggest the best option for company needs, while keeping costs in line with budget
  • Review recruiting sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring procedures and continually update to ensure they are effective and efficient
  • Research and suggest appropriate job advertising methods
  • Recommend ways to improve our employer brand
  • Coordinate with department managers to forecast future hiring needs
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations and inform recruiters and managers about changes
  • Participate in job fairs and career events
  • Build the company’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, colleges and other partners
  • Collaborate with the HR, TA team and hiring managers to ensure all CARIAD, Inc positions are filled with qualified candidates in a timely manner and that those hired are effectively on-boarded into the organization

Years of Relevant Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in the Human Resources field
  • 7 years of recruiting experience
  • 5 years demonstrated experience of leading others

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business, or related field of study or equivalent

Desired Education:

  • Master's degree in HR Management, Business, or related field of study or equivalent

  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive in alignment with the organization's recruiting preferences and priorities
  • Display patience, professional integrity, and exhibit self-confidence
  • Promote the value of diversity and support the advancement of women and minorities
  • Knowledge of US labor legislation (policies, and processes)
  • Well versed with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases
  • Experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation
  • Familiarity with social media and other professional networks (like GitHub)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with ADP WFN HCM System
  • Knowledge of the Automotive industry
  • Familiarity with global labor legislation (policies, and processes

Work Flexibility:

  • Must be willing to work additional hours during busy times of month & year
  • Travel as business requires

Compensation

Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, credentials or certifications, industry-based experience, qualification and training. In the city of Mountain View, California, the salary range for this position is $154,000 - $215,000.
CARIAD, Inc. provides performance based merits and annual bonus along with a competitive benefits package.
