Job Title: Community Partner Coordinator
Department: Development
Reports To: Major Gifts Officer
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Full TimePosition SummaryCOVID-19 Vaccine Required but subject to recognized exemptionsThe dynamic, organized, and creative professional fundraiser who holds this position is responsible for the implementation and oversight of Caritas of Austin’s Community Partnership program, which raised $1.160M or approximately 11% of annual budget in 2023. This full-time position requires someone who is a self-starter and has excellent time management skills, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. The Community Partner Coordinator will interact with a range of external constituents and stakeholders including corporate partners, local businesses, churches, schools, event sponsors, external vendors, volunteers, and various committees. This position must be able to provide excellent donor service and stewardship to all constituents in a timely and professional manner.
The ideal candidate is someone who is goal oriented, has attention to detail, takes initiative on all projects, is a strong communicator, and seeks an opportunity to manage a wide range of fundraising projects within a development department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (inclusive but not exhaustive):
  • Develop an annual Corporate Partners Strategy and Stewardship Plan, including creating individual strategies for each partner and/or prospect that are creative, timely, and that will energize partners.
  • Create an annual plan for approaching new prospects. Through research and networking, approach businesses at the local and national level to become long-term partners for Caritas, particularly in the areas of high tech, real estate, and venture capital. Research and keep abreast of new corporations moving into Austin and proactively approach them to become corporate partners with Caritas.
  • Design a Corporate Benefits Plan for all corporate partners to include employment engagement opportunities, program support, brand recognition, event sponsorship, and volunteer leadership.
  • Serve as primary contact for all corporate/business/civic donors across various Caritas of Austin events and giving platforms.
  • Proactively seek new community engagement and fundraising opportunities in the greater Austin area that relate to donor and volunteer cultivation.
  • Grow community use of Caritas of Austin facilities for special events as an income generator.
  • Work with Caritas volunteer programs in order to expose, educate, and build loyalty to Caritas for the long-term among existing corporate volunteer groups.
  • Document and maintain lists of workplace giving programs in the community that give to Caritas.
  • Approach new organizations about participating in workplace giving benefitting Caritas.
  • Do regular follow up with all workplace giving contacts to achieve Cartas’ workplace giving budget goals for the year.
Qualifications:Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
    • Non-Profit Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Work, or related field preferred.
Experience
  • 2 years of experience working in the nonprofit field or sales preferred.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Strong social skills, ability to engage successful business leaders in the problems and solutions of homelessness in Austin.
Salary/Benefits:
  • Base Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000.
