Job Title: Espero Customer Services Coordinator
Department: Client Services
Program: Espero Rutland
Reports To: Espero Rutland Program Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt -Full Time
COVID-19 Vaccine Required but subject to recognized exemptions.
Position Summary
The Espero Costumer Services Coordinator provides outstanding customer service by providing ongoing supervision and training to customer specialists. Espero Rutland is a permanent supportive housing services to people that have experienced homelessness, with a goal of stabilizing them in their housing situation at Espero Rutland, a high-quality apartment community which is deeply affordable and intensely supportive for 171 individuals experiencing homelessness. The Coordinator assists with training and supervision of the front desk, monitoring data, and documentation, and overall office management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (inclusive but not exhaustive):
Program Coordination
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports as requested.
  • Ensure the provision of excellent customer service by customer service specialists.
  • Understands all services provided by Caritas of Austin.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee effective customer service back-up system.
  • Is “on call” and provides back-up as needed for shift work.
  • Develop customer service policies, procedures and standards.
  • Analyze customer service data and provide accurate reports.
  • Maintain an orderly workflow.
Client Services
  • Respond to client grievances pertaining to customer service.
  • Participate in all relevant programmatic meetings.
  • Establishes clearly defines professional boundaries with staff and clients.
  • Ensure customer service specialists have current resources to share with clients seeking information and referral.
Supervision
  • In collaboration with the program manager, makes employment decisions regarding hiring, performance evaluations, promotion, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Identify professional development needs of customer service specialists.
  • Adhere to hiring policies and procedures.
  • Provide supervision and support to customer service specialists. Create supervision meeting schedules.
  • Develop, implement, and routinely update training protocol for customer service specialists.
  • Review work schedules and delegates assignments appropriately.
  • Maintain effective and appropriate communication with all supervisees.
Organization Support Functions
  • Participate in agency-wide planning and training functions.
  • Comply with administrative procedures, reporting, and record keeping policies.
Other Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Design an approved plan for professional development.
  • Treat clients, staff, and the general public with courtesy and respect
Qualifications:
Education
Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the fields of social work, public health, counseling, or other fields in human services.
Preferred: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in human services. Includes social work, psychology, public health, and counseling.
Experience
Required: Minimum of 2 years of professional related experience.
Highly Preferred:
Past work in housing programs or with people experiencing homelessness; experience collaborating with people with mental health disorders; experience with Crisis Intervention
Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with internet, MS Office, and databases required. HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) experience preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish or other language) preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Texas driver’s license within 30 days of employment.
Salary/Benefits:
Base Salary Range: $45,349-$58,937.
The salary offered will follow Caritas of Austin salary guideline based on candidate’s education and experience.
