Carlisle Brake & Friction Inc is Hiring a Senior CNC Programmer Near BLOOMINGTON, IN

Description

Individual is responsible for programming and tooling support of production, as measured by labor efficiencies, automation, scrap reduction and tooling controls. This individual will assist in lean manufacturing projects, Continuous Improvement activities, New Product Launch and start up support. 

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Supports Continuous Improvement Projects/Activities

• Supports new product and in-sourcing projects through collaboration with Design Engineers

• Run prototype production parts

• Train and support Production TEAM members on new CNC programs

• Define and document Set Up and work holding needs

• Review tooling selection, implementation, and validation

• Post and prove out programs at machining centers

• Collaborate with Value Stream Engineers on work instructions and continuous improvement opportunities

• Implement and review the effectiveness of programming and tooling changes

• Maintain the “Set Up” and programing matrix

• Develop and apply machining and programming skills

• Proactively apply problem solving skills to programming and tooling impediments

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from a technical school preferred, however, experience and willingness to continue education related to CNC programming will be considered

• Five years minimum CNC programming experience is necessary and strong computer skills which include Microsoft Office products

• Adept in blueprint reading and fluent in GD&T principles

• Must possess strong communication skills and the ability apply problem solving logic

• Needs to be able to work independently, in a TEAM, and even lead TEAMs.

• Skilled in CNC Programming – Mastercam and Esprit is preferred.
