Job Title: Dispatcher for a Drayage Company
Must have five years of experience dispatching trucks to NY/NJ ports to pickup ocean containers.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Drayage Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services to ensure timely delivery of ocean containers. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of drayage transportation and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize GPS and transportation management systems to track and monitor trucks and containers
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure efficient delivery routes
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a high level of phone etiquette when interacting with drivers and customers
Experience:
- Proven experience in dispatching trucks to NY/NJ ports to pick up ocean containers.
- Proficiency in using transportation management software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
