We are seeking a dynamic individual to join us as the Director, Patron Programs at Carnegie Hall. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Director of the Patron Program serves as a senior member of Carnegie Hall's Development team overseeing all operations of the upper-level Patron, Notables, and Explorers programs. The Director manages the Patron program staff and collaborates with other departmental staff, volunteer councils and board members to solicit revenue. The Director strategizes with Chief Development Officer on long term goals, effectively stewards donors, identifies major gift potential among current patrons, and responds creatively to current environment. Tasks & Responsibilities:Cultivate and maintain relationships with more than 800 donors, developing strong and effective partnerships with Patrons and Trustees to achieve goals and objectives within established budgets and timelines.Create strategies for acquiring, renewing, and upgrading donors contributing $3,000 - $29,999.Work closely with Chief Development Officer to leverage patron support for artistic and education programs in current and future seasons.Increase Patron engagement by expanding outreach, effectively implementing and overseeing all donor benefits. Strategically target new donors and increased support from longtime donors.,Provide strategic guidance to major gifts officers.Write and oversee solicitation letters, appeals, proposals, and special campaign materials as appropriate, utilizing research tools, including wealth assessment data to effectively match up programs with prospects.Work the Patron team, Special Events and Corporate Relations to conceive cultivation and recognition events for Patrons, Explorers, and Notables throughout the season.Engage regularly with patrons at on and off-site events, including in the Patron Lounge pre-concert and at intermission.Robust use of plans/steps reports in database (Tessitura) to track progress on prospecting.Assist team in troubleshooting Patron inquiries and concerns.Skills & Qualifications:BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in individual giving required. Should have proven record of ability to meet revenue goals and to work within budget. Strong written and verbal skills; must work well with board/volunteer councils and interact effectively with Patrons, building strong relationships for the Hall. Positive and enthusiastic attitude, strong work ethic, and high degree of professionalism. Successful experience managing others, and strong ability to recruit, orient, train, mentor, and motivate staff who support development goals.
