Manufacturing Engineer
Carnes is a leading manufacturer of commercial and industrial air moving and conditioning equipment including fans, humidifiers, energy recovery ventilators, and much more. We are looking for a capable engineer to help us improve our products and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
· Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes
· Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process
· Create/update processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary, performance, and efficiency goals
· Design and develop new products alongside the Product Engineering team
· Communicate effectively with production, supervisors, design teams, and sales staff to ensure alignment with company goals
· Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems
· Apply Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
· Specify new machines and tooling to improve processes
· Successfully implement cost saving projects
· Determine and correct root causes of defects and failures
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required
· Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
· Attention to detail is a must
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
· Experience with CAD programs a plus
· Experience with metal fabrication a plus
