Position Title: Barback

FLSA Classification: Non-exempt

Reports To: General Manager

Department: Front of the house- Bar

Job Summary:

The Barback is responsible for supporting the bar team by providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a clean and organized bar environment. The Barback must work efficiently and effectively to keep the bar running smoothly and support the Captain Bartender and bartenders in delivering high-quality service to guests.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:

· Ensure a clean and organized bar environment, including the stocking and replenishing of bar supplies.

· Assist bartenders with the preparation of garnishes, mixers, and other bar ingredients.

· Assist with the delivery of beverages and the collection of glassware.

· Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the bar area.

· Assist with opening and closing duties, including the cleaning and maintenance of the bar area.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Previous experience in a barback or related position preferred.

Work Environment:

· The environment requires the team member to work inside in a temperature-controlled environment.

· Required to work weekends and irregular hours.

· Requires working under stressful conditions.

· Must be able to work safely in a noisy area.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be physically able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours or more a day.

· Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

· Requires maintenance of the bar, changing kegs, and other additional tasks.
