Carolina Comfort Air Inc, is looking for an Fleet Auto Mechanic to perform a wide range of duties associated with repairs, inspections and preventative maintenance of Carolina Comfort Air vehicles. Summary: The Fleet Auto Mechanic will work collaboratively with other CCA employees in leading the Company toward its long-term vision of being the premier heating and air conditioning services provider. The Fleet Mechanic will also perform driver responsibilities including road side assistant and towing of any CCA damaged vehicles.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles.
Maintain truck and equipment in compliance with Company guidelines.
Perform necessary documentation timely and correctly according to procedures in effect.
Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventative maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections, repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; reporting body damage.
Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
Maintains assigned vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing. (48)

Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs.
Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Maintains all the extra vehicles on the yard to be road ready by cranking and evaluating them on a weekly basis.
All other duties as assigned by Fleet Manager
Requirements/Qualifications:
Possess correct and valid driver’s license for weight of vehicle assigned.
Demonstrate positive customer service attitude toward co-workers
Ability to safely lift 75 pounds unassisted.
Ability to sit in vehicle seat for extended periods, significant amount of driving, bending, lifting, listening to and responding to phone communications.
Possess basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills
Possess NC Inspection certification and certification and/or be willing to attain said certification.
