SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities of the Merchandiser are to process deliveries, rotate, restock, merchandise and build displays in assigned accounts by performing the following duties.
NOTE: Merchandiser workweek is planned for a 5/9 (5 days/9 hours) alternating schedule to include weekends but may be adjusted for business demands. 45 work hours on average

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Requires common intelligence. Must follow oral instructions and use simple writing or mathematical skills. Up to and including three months experience
INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY
Requires the use of little judgment to follow instructions, using simple equipment in performing duties where the employee is told what to do and has little or no choice as to the procedures used in achieving results.
MENTAL / VISUAL / AUDITORY DEMAND
Occasional mental or visual attention, where the flow of work is intermittent or the operation involves waiting for a process to complete a cycle, with intermittent checking involved. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT
Limited – has little responsibility for equipment which, under normal use and care, would not result in damages.
RESONSIBILITY FOR MATERIAL OR PRODUCT
Works with parts/materials where inferior quality or defect would usually be detected quickly with minimal loss of material or rework time involved.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY OF OTHERS
Little responsibility for safety of others. Probability of causing injury to others is remote. Job performed in an isolated location, or where there is very simple equipment involved and the material handled is very light.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
Responsible for own work.
HAZARDS
Injuries improbable, except minor cuts, abrasions, burns, bruises, etc.

Somewhat disagreeable work conditions.
