Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Columbia, SC

Full Time - Hybrid

What will you do?

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver medication management and primary medical care services to a wide variety of patients. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records, scheduling and administering follow-up appointments to patients as required. The Nurse Practitioner will work as a team with our therapists, care coordinators, foster care families, providers and service line staff and will assist in delivering premium care to all patients.

· Responsible for the oversight and facilitation of all aspects related to the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Waiver.

· Perform physical exams and order diagnostic tests.

· Prescribe medications and treatments under the supervision of a physician licensed in NC or according to established policies and protocols.

· Provide verbal and/or written communication regarding prescribed medications.

· Sign all orders regarding Primary Care at the clinical facility within the scope of the agency policies and protocols.

· Report information about the individual’s medical condition to supervising physicians to assist with the established diagnosis and appropriate course of treatment.

· Assess individuals for mental health disorders and make an appropriate DSM diagnosis(es).

· Ensure that services are delivered in a medically appropriate manner and care provided follows the appropriate state Medical Board guidelines.

· Complete clinical documentation and submit billing reports according to CTS Health’s policies and procedures.

· Reviewing and signing off on clinical assessments completed by provisionally licensed staff.

· Reviewing all clinical documentation for accuracy of provisionally licensed staff

· Always maintain client confidentiality including appropriate use of cell phone, emails, text messaging, client charts and EMR.

· Assist with conducting Medication Administration Trainings as needed.

· Participate and assist with audits (as requested)

· Complete reviews and service orders deeming medical necessity for services.

· Conduct psychiatric monitoring reviews for Intensive Alternative Family Treatment Fidelity

· Performs other duties and activities as appropriate and/or assigned by CTS Health, Inc.

· Sign at least a 2-year contract.

· Provide CTSHEALTH with at least 60 days’ notice if staff is resigning.

· Sign a noncompete clause for 1 year within 25-30 miles of the office location.

Requirements:

Master’s Degree Applicants:

· Must possess a degree at the time of application.

· Degree must be in Nursing or Physician Assistant.

· Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (preferred)

General Requirements:

· One year post graduate MH/SA/DD experience (preferred)

· One-year experience with EMR systems (preferred)

· People Oriented

· Autonomous/Independent (able to work with little direction)

· Provide services both in person and through tele-health capabilities as deemed necessary.

· Graduate from accredited PA or NP program.

· PMHNP certification or PA with 2-3 years’ experience.

· Valid unrestricted NC License.

· Active DEA License.

· Experience treating psychiatric disorders in both children and adults. Experience or interest in treating adults with substance use disorder.
