Direct Support Professional, CMT,CNA

30.00 – 35.00 Hour depending on qualifications/ PTO & Sick Leave

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10-4, Friday 8-4, Saturday 10-6 most week-ends, but some Saturdays are 7AM to 7PM for support at craft fairs. Additional week-day hours may be available; some Sunday hours may be available. We try to be flexible within our own needs.

This position overlaps with a 2nd person to ensure safe transfers

Young lady in Rockville, MD seeking a full-time personal support provider. This is a highly engaged position providing support in her neighborhood, community and home. This is a team oriented, supportive and fun environment where your skills and creativity will be appreciated and rewarded. Training is ongoing and you will have an opportunity to share your own interests.

Job duties include but are not limited to accompanying to, and supporting to attend, community events such as concerts, movies, classes, meeting friends, shopping eating out, and running errands.

Personal Support includes assistance with transfers, positioning, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, eating, organization of paperwork and support with communication device. Assistance with computer and iPad for learning and entertainment. Technology is used for communication, photography, sewing and relaxation.

Time overlaps with other co-workers to assure good communication among the team. Recording daily information and notes, attending team meetings, and providing back up to other staff if possible. Using the person’s adapted vehicle and driving to and from various events, appointments and activities or accompanying on public transportation is required.

Qualifications:

· Use of applications and technology including camera, computer, iPad, and communication device.

· Successful applicants will have personal or professional experience supporting someone with personal care needs

· Successfully pass a background check and clean driving record

· CPR/First Aid and Maryland Med Tech certification

· Excellent communication skills

· Up to date vaccinations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
