Summary

Under the direction of the Medical Director, serves as lead assisting in the oversight of the pulmonary rehab program, developing and implementing protocols, policies and procedures, and designing and conducting patient educational programs. Maintains the program’s AACVPR (American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation) certification. Performs all duties of the Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Therapist.

Qualifications

Required 

• Respiratory license as a Practitioner of Respiratory Care issued by the state of Nevada 
• Five (5) years’ experience in respiratory therapy and pulmonary medicine in an acute care setting. 
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare providers 
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required within six (6) months of hire. 
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and leadership skills 
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, nurses, patients and their families, and co-workers 
• Computer literacy in order to chart, bill and access patient information as well as hospital wide employee systems 

Preferred 

• RRT credential preferred
