Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and passionate Part-Time STEM Lab Teacher to join our team. As a STEM Lab Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lessons and activities for our students. Your role will involve hands-on instruction and facilitating interactive learning experiences, fostering curiosity and critical thinking skills among our students. Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver STEM lessons and activities for students in accordance with curriculum guidelines and objectives.
Create a dynamic and safe learning environment that promotes exploration, experimentation, and problem-solving.
Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to facilitate student understanding and engagement.
Guide students through hands-on experiments, projects, and investigations, encouraging curiosity and independent thinking.
Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance student learning and demonstrate real-world applications of STEM concepts.
Administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional practices accordingly.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate STEM principles across the curriculum.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and share resources to support STEM education at home.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in STEM education to continuously enhance teaching practices.
Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (STEM Education, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics).
Prior experience teaching STEM subjects to students, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of STEM principles and their applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for hands-on, experiential learning.
Proficiency with technology tools and applications used in STEM education.
Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
