Department: Operations Job Status: Full-Time Reports to: Shift Supervisor
The Dispatcher oversees and coordinates the activities of the drivers by updating websites and monitoring the timeliness of the routes. This role will successfully and professionally communicate with suppliers, customers, drivers, Internal departments and terminal locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior dispatch, route management and dispatching experience is a plus. Working knowledge in logistics and manufacturing is preferred. Must be able to work independently and effectively communicate within all levels of the organization. Must be highly organized, responsible, and dependable in order to problem solve and work in high pressure situations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook email required. Knowledge of TMW software is a plus. Must have the ability to learn new programs as necessary.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is an on-site position.
