Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring Supply Chain Administrator in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The Supply Chain Administrator is responsible for determining ancillary equipment needed to complete packages, ordering the equipment, and ensuring the package is complete prior to shipping to job site. The individual in this role will work directly with allied vendors to obtain quotes and issue purchase orders and perform data management for equipment, including providing reports to management as needed. Seeking candidates with previous experience in supply chain or procurement. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, but not required.
Requirements for the Supply Chain Administrator position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Supply Chain Administrator job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
