Carteret Health Care is Hiring a Telemetry Tech PCU FT Near Morehead, NC

JOB RELATIONSHIPS
- Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director and/or Charge Nurse
DEFINITION OF POSITION
- Provides constant surveillance of EKG waveforms from a centralized monitoring station. The position tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  - Interprets cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias including PR interval,
  - ST segment, QT interval Reports significant changes in heart rate / rhythm to appropriate nursing staff
  - Maintains telemetry supplies
  - Records events utilizing computer documentation systems
  - Follows hospital’s infection control policies as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
  - High school graduate or equivalent.
  - Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  - Basic understanding of computers and/or the desire and aptitude to learn.
  - Completion of basic EKG arrhythmia course.
  - Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
  - Current Heartsaver Certification.
