About the team and position
Carvana is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in developing and maintaining key aspects of Carvana's first-of-its-kind automobile lending platform. Most importantly, you will see your insights have an immediate, tangible impact every day in a well-funded and rapidly growing company.
What you'll be doing

• Play a critical role in driving analytics and strategy within our auto lending business.
• Develop and maintain complex pricing and risk models.
• Collect and analyze data on the latest trends in the auto finance market for incorporation into strategic decision-making.
• Evaluate and identify meaningful patterns and trends and provide ongoing reports and recommendations to the business.
• Prepare and maintain financial reporting packages.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you should have/know

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Finance or related field.
• Goal-oriented, enthusiastic, self-motivated with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and SQL.
• Experience building dashboards via data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau).
• Understanding and interest in the financial markets and risk modeling.
• Knowledge of statistics and regression analysis.
• Background in lending, consumer lending, credit cards, auto loans, student loans, or mortgages is preferred.
• Introductory programming course (i.e. Python) completion is preferred.
