About the team and position

The Titles Team Lead will drive individual development and team success through constructive coaching and results-oriented motivation.

The Team Lead will work closely cross-functionally to ensure that our Title team performs to the best of their ability. We are looking for someone who is passionate about coaching, has knowledge of the Carvana customer experience process, and is willing to be in the trenches with their team.

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee day-to-day operations within assigned team of Titles Operations, managing daily attendance / schedule adherence and payroll
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through appropriate coaching, leadership development and training, and performance management.
• Ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Handle escalated situations and questions
• Ensure all employees within Titles Operations receive the appropriate training and education, including ongoing compliance training.
• Ensure robust communications between all teams within Titles Operations, and stakeholders across the organization.
• Proactively communicate information to direct reports, providing clear understanding of expectations, performance measures, and goals.
• Create a work and team environment that inspires positive communication, team cohesion, and adherence to Carvana’s Values.
• Practices cost containment strategies, maintaining profitability and growth of area.
• Coordinates operation strategies and activities to ensure continuous improvement, high productivity, and legal compliance.
• Completing regular touchpoints, side by sides, and other coaching practices
• Working your assigned shift and being available to support all team members on the floor
• Developing and growing team members through our Careers Not Jobs program, to help them meet their career goals
• Monitoring and coaching to performance metrics and engaging with performance management practices to elevate your team.

What you should have

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate institution.
• 5 years’ work experience in a customer-facing team environment.
• 3 years of management experience.
• Ability to communicate and interact with internal and external stakeholders effectively in a professional, courteous manner.
• Experience working with all levels of management.
• Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ability to coach and motivate others.
• Experience with strategic planning and process improvement.
• Successful track record of guiding teams to exceed goals.
• Strong customer relations skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in an office environment, with extensive use of computers.
• Willingness to work on weekends, as necessary.

In-depth understanding of titles and / or registration processes.
