About the team and the position
The Visual Design Team at Carvana is looking for a talented Graphic/Visual Designer to become a part of our dynamic team based in Phoenix. Designers at Carvana are instrumental in making a lasting impact across a diverse array of customer touch points, encompassing both digital and physical realms. We are in search of a candidate who harbors an ardent passion for design and branding, and possesses an exceptional mastery of their craft.
As a Graphic/Visual Designer, your role will span the entire project lifecycle from initiation to completion, requiring a proactive approach in problem-solving and catering to the brand's necessities. A keen eye for innovation is paramount, as Designers are not only expected to produce work that resonates with Carvana's brand, but also to pioneer intelligent and creative avenues for the evolution of Carvana's brand identity.
This position is ideal for a visionary who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to elevating design standards while actively contributing to the broader goals of the team.
What you'll be doing

• Develop guidelines for consistent, on-brand, high-quality work for both digital and physical worlds.
• Convert strategic goals into compelling design solutions.
• Translate strategy to visual design solutions.
• Manage brand identity, sponsorships, sub-brands, and partnerships.
• Transform concepts into stunning designs.
• Shape how we communicate our brand.
• Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to create meaningful and impactful designs.
• Work on projects from conception through delivery.
• Ensure that all the work done adheres to Carvana's voice and visual style.

What we look for

• 3 years of experience working as a professional designer in-house or agency
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• An available online portfolio
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• An ability to handle multiple projects, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines
• An eye for detail and consistency across the entire customer journey
• Ability to take charge of a project when necessary
• Animation or 3D skills would be a plus
