Casa Cruz New York, is located in a six-story beaux arts townhouse on 61st Street, between Park and Madison Avenue. Casa Cruz New York has 220 seats across five floors and is open for dinner and drinks. A Server at Casa Cruz New York will be responsible for always providing elegant and welcoming service to our guests by following the Santa Cruz Co. Brand Standard. The ideal Server will be energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated and passionate about hospitality, food and beverage. This role works with a strong attention to detail and directs the activities of their support staff to ensure an unparalleled dining experience.
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for guiding the guests through the Casa Cruz dining experience.
• Graciously greeting and guiding guests as the main contact through their experience.
• Communicate with chefs and managers to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Work with a sense of urgency to properly manage time and resources.
• Responsible for knowledge of all menu items, preparations, and is able to describe every product and menu offering.
• Full awareness of allergens and potential substitutions.
• Knowledge of grape varietals, styles of wine, and can use knowledge to sell items and make educated suggestions to our guests.
• Input all orders accurately into the point-of-sale system.
• Ensure steps of service, dining room maintenance, and guest satisfaction.
• Present an accurate guest check, accept payment, and quickly complete the transaction. Collecting the check before the guests leave.
• Provide all appropriate paperwork such as signed guests receipts, manager voids, etc. at end of each shift.
• Handle any complaints with genuine concern and elevate to manager at all times.
• Provide information to management to update guest’s profile in reservation system.
• Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side work assignments.
• Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.

Requirements:

• Open availability
• Personable, positive, and gracious attitude
• At least 2 years in a Server position in a upscale dining setting
• Knowledge in Toast and 7Shifts
• Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
• Lift up to 30 pounds of weight
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk and carry multiple objects
