Established in 2002, the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) is a research and education center based at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. CASE prepares leaders and organizations with the business tools needed to achieve lasting social change. For more than 20 years, CASE, and its CASE Initiative on Impact Investing (CASE i3), has trained and supported thousands of students, organizations, funders, government agencies, and researchers to help define, connect theory and practice, and propel the ideas of social entrepreneurship and impact investing into the robust fields they are today.
CASE carries out its work through a very dynamic, interdisciplinary team that leverages expertise, time and passion of faculty, staff and students and manages a broad set of cross-sector partnerships at Duke, across the country and around the world. This position will report directly to the Managing Director of CASE, in close partnership with CASE’s Executive Director.
The Program Coordinator position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building experience and a network in the social impact space, as CASE is one of the leading academic centers focused on social impact in the world. The Program Coordinator will have opportunities to learn about industry trends and best practices while supporting our efforts to deliver field-leading practitioner training and MBA education, and will be part of CASE’s ever-growing network of social impact and impact investing leaders.
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting CASE programs and events, managing CASE communications, and supporting the general operational needs of the CASE team and office. The Program Coordinator will regularly be required to manage multiple priorities, complete assigned projects effectively and independently, and contribute in a variety of ways to achieving CASE’s mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support CASE Programs and Events
Support preparation and execution of CASE MBA and practitioner programming ranging from student focused workshops, fellowship programs, course support, and social events to in-person and virtual executive education and practitioner events, advisory board meetings, and fundraising events. Activities may include:
Manage CASE Communications
Manage CASE’s communications channels to maintain and build CASE’s reputation as a highly respected and trusted voice of what matters in social impact. This requires the Program Coordinator to develop an understanding of CASE’s diverse work and professionally engage with others working in the social impact space through the following mediums:
General Financial and Operational Support
Support the general administrative tasks that keep the CASE team efficient, productive, and adherent to Duke systems. The Program Coordinator will learn to use several Duke administrative systems as well as internal team collaboration tools. Activities will include:
