Job DescriptionCash App has grown rapidly to tens of million of users moving billions of dollars daily. To support this incredible growth, we are growing the Identity organization. Our mission is to create a customer identity framework that supports Cash App's growth while maintaining high levels of customer, partner, and regulatory trust. We work with some of our customer's most sensitive data, and we take privacy and security seriously. Our organization plays a critical role in providing financial access to customers who are underserved by traditional financial institutions, and we are committed to creating a seamless and secure user experience. This is a server engineering team that works cross-functionally with a variety of disciplines — client engineering, design, product, data science, compliance and legal.
About the teams hiring on Identity:Identity Verifications: The Identity Verifications team designs and builds solutions that help customers onboard to Cash App. We focus on the initial collection and verification of information that allows customers to access our suite of financial products.

Zone B: USD $128,500 - USD $192,700
Zone C: USD $121,700 - USD $182,500
Zone D: USD $115,000 - USD $172,400

- Design, Build and Support the core systems used to manage identity on Cash App
- Build and design an identity system that is scalable, secure, and reliable
- Creatively solve challenging technical problems at scale
- Leverage industry-leading identify verification technologies
- Be involved in defining and implementing an expanding roadmap
- Collaborate closely with Compliance and Legal teams to support audits and implement regulatory controls
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide support for our services
- 3 years working on complex systems and delivering quality software
- Well-developed curiosity and enjoy building creative solutions to complex problems
- Worked on systems where data consistency and availability is required
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Expertise in the full software development life cycle
- Strong communication skills and customer empathy
- Java 11 including JUnit, Hibernate, Guice, and Jersey
- Kotlin
- HTTP, JSON, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers
- MySQL
- Amazon Web Services
- Event driven architecture
