Cash-Wa Distributing, a vibrant and privately held food distribution company, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic accounting professional to join our Finance Department as an Accounting Manager. If you have 5 years of progressive experience in full-service accounting and financial reporting, we want to hear from you! This position reports directly to our Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• • Financial Reporting: Reconcile and analyze general ledger activities. Prepare and publish weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and direct Accounts Payable and Bid Pricing teams, including hiring, coaching, and discipline.
  • Period-End Closing: Manage the monthly and yearly close procedures, ensuring all journal entry activities are completed accurately and timely.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and file various corporate licenses as required.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve coding issues and vendor pricing discrepancies in collaboration with Accounts Payable and Merchandising.
  • Audit and Data Analysis: Audit customer contracts for terms, ad hoc analysis using a broad variety of financial, sales, and operational data, and other metrics. Monitor and audit contract and bid pricing as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director of Finance.

Qualifications
Qualifications

• • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of progressive work experience required, with 5 years preferred. Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in accounting within the distribution or restaurant industry is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products, with a prominence on excel.
  • Leadership: Collaborative leadership skills with a record of managing multiple priorities.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with customers, vendors, national accounts, and other departments.
