CP&A is looking to hire a full-time Professional Engineer focusing on structural design (see casperphillips.com/careers for other opportunities including entry level). We are a unique multi discipline engineering firm focusing on cranes and one-of-a-kind structures. We take basic structural engineering principles and code requirements and apply them to atypical structures such as a container crane or ship building crane. We have served clients all around the world; as you progress here, opportunities for international travel will present itself. Your responsibilities will include managing small projects and assisting principal engineers with the design and review of structures from concept and planning to construction and project management. Technical responsibilities include but are not limited to: Sizing of structural members, designing connections, finite element analysis, and AutoCAD drafting. You will receive training and mentorship from experienced, licensed professional/structural engineers and will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects.
