Cassia has a fantastic, brand new opportunity for a Corporate Chef with collaborative interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to develop and train sites with on trend menus and recipes to elevate the client experience while exceeding budgetary goals. This role supports several skilled and assisted living communities, so ideally we are looking for someone who has healthcare experience in an older adult services setting.
This role is based in our Edina home office but with significant site support visits, that includes occasional travel to out of state locations. In this role, you will be a member of our Cassia leadership team, collaborating with our home office dietitians, reporting to the regional director of operations for culinary and nutrition.
This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position.
Corporate Chef Duties:

• Menu creation: A commitment to scratch made food, menus and recipe development
• Operational Efficiency: Process and systems audits for labor and time management
• Food procurement knowledge: Ordering ingredients and supplies, and managing inventories to control food costs
• Culinary Directors: Recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring culinary directors
• Quality assurance: Ensuring food quality and maintaining sanitary conditions
• Provide professional leadership and culinary support
• Assist with operational reviews and kitchen audits
• Participate in Support Chef training as needed (IDDSI)
• Assist with support and selections of culinary software systems
• Seek continuous education and career growth. Maintain professional certifications

Corporate Chef Requirements:

• Culinary Arts Degree Required
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary management
• Current Minnesota Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificate or completion of food safety training required
• Knowledge of State and Federal food and nutrition regulations
• Basic computer skills including emails, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets
• Able to prioritize responsibilities among multiple sites and situations
• Ability to prioritize and manage high volume of workflow and tasks
• Has knowledge of safety/risk management
